### Summary A user with Control Panel access but without permission to view a target private asset can call `assets/preview-thumb` and receive preview HTML that contains a signed fallback transform link for that private asset. ### Details Root-cause analysis: 1. The endpoint accepts an attacker-controlled `assetId`. 2. Asset is resolved, and thumbnail HTML is returned. 3. No explicit asset-view permission check is performed before preview generation. ### Impact Type: 1. Missing authorizati
The printenv utility in uutils coreutils fails to display environment variables containing invalid UTF-8 byte sequences. While POSIX permits arbitrary bytes in environment strings, the uutils implementation silently skips these entries rather than printing the raw bytes. This vulnerability allows malicious environment variables (e.g., adversarial LD_PRELOAD values) to evade inspection by administrators or security auditing tools, potentially allowing library injection or other environment-based
Improper neutralization of input during web page generation ('cross-site scripting') vulnerability in The Wikimedia Foundation Mediawiki - Cargo Extension allows Stored XSS. This issue affects Mediawiki - Cargo Extension: from * before 3.9.1.
When moving directories across filesystems, uutils `mv` dereferences symlinks inside the tree, copying their targets as real files/dirs instead of preserving the symlinks. GNU preserves symlinks by default. E.g. a `etc_link -> /etc` inside the source becomes a full copy of `/etc` at the destination. **Impact:** (1) resource exhaustion — a small tree can expand into a huge copy (time/disk DoS); (2) unintended duplication of sensitive paths referenced by symlink; (3) symlink-loop amplification ca
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: reset: amlogic: t7: Fix null reset ops Fix missing reset ops causing kernel null pointer dereference. This SOC's reset is currently not used yet.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: eip93 - fix hmac setkey algo selection eip93_hmac_setkey() allocates a temporary ahash transform for computing HMAC ipad/opad key material. The allocation uses the driver-specific cra_driver_name (e.g. "sha256-eip93") but passes CRYPTO_ALG_ASYNC as the mask, which excludes async algorithms. Since the EIP93 hash algorithms are the only ones registered under those driver names and they are inherently async, the lookup i
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: sg: Resolve soft lockup issue when opening /dev/sgX The parameter def_reserved_size defines the default buffer size reserved for each Sg_fd and should be restricted to a range between 0 and 1,048,576 (see https://tldp.org/HOWTO/SCSI-Generic-HOWTO/proc.html). Although the function sg_proc_write_dressz enforces this limit, it is possible to bypass it by directly modifying the module parameter as shown below, which then ca

PostgreSQL Anonymizer contains a vulnerability that allows unprivileged masked users to repeatedly call the anon.hash() function and collects (seed, hash_output) pairs to perform an offline brute-force attack and deduce the salt. The problem is resolved in PostgreSQL Anonymizer 3.1.2 and later versions
The cp utility in uutils coreutils, when performing recursive copies (-R), incorrectly treats character and block device nodes as stream sources rather than preserving them. Because the implementation reads bytes into regular files at the destination instead of using mknod, device semantics are destroyed (e.g., /dev/null becomes a regular file). This behavior can lead to runtime denial of service through disk exhaustion or process hangs when reading from unbounded device nodes. --- _Zellic find
`rm -rf .` is correctly refused, but `clean_trailing_slashes` normalizes `.///` to `./` while `path_is_current_or_parent_directory` only matches `.`/`..` (and `/.`/`/..`), not `./` or `../`. So `rm -rf ./` recursively deletes the directory's contents and then prints a misleading `cannot remove './': Invalid input`. **Impact:** all files/subdirectories in the current directory are silently deleted; the misleading error makes users miss the recovery window. Recommendation: handle trailing-slash v
The comm utility in uutils coreutils incorrectly consumes data from non-regular file inputs before performing comparison operations. The are_files_identical function opens and reads from both input paths to compare content without first verifying if the paths refer to regular files. If an input path is a FIFO or a pipe, this pre-read operation drains the stream, leading to silent data loss before the actual comparison logic is executed. Additionally, the utility may hang indefinitely if it attem
The id utility in uutils coreutils miscalculates the groups= section of its output. The implementation uses a user's real GID instead of their effective GID to compute the group list, leading to potentially divergent output compared to GNU coreutils. Because many scripts and automated processes rely on the output of id to make security-critical access-control or permission decisions, this discrepancy can lead to unauthorized access or security misconfigurations. --- _Zellic finding 3.72. Improper Input Validation, Unintended Proxy or Intermediary ('Confused Deputy') vulnerability in Apache Camel DAPR component. The camel-dapr Dapr Pub/Sub consumer (DaprPubSubConsumer) copied two fields from each inbound CloudEvent - its Pub/Sub component name and its topic - into the CamelDaprPubSubName and CamelDaprTopic Exchange headers. These two headers are producer-direction routing headers: when the route republishes through a Dapr producer, DaprConfigurationOptionsProxy reads them back a
A vulnerability was identified in omec-project amf up to 2.0.2/2.1.1. Impacted is an unknown function of the file /go/src/amf/ngap/handler.go of the component NGSetupRequest Handler. The manipulation leads to denial of service. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. The identifier of the patch is 34bc6724acc97dba1f8691e586da95b042cb612d. To fix this issue, it is recommended to deploy a patch.
The `--preserve-root` check uses a path-string test (`path.has_root() && path.parent().is_none()`) rather than comparing device/inode. A symlink to `/` (e.g. `/tmp/rootlink -> /`) has a parent component, so it passes the check. GNU caches `/`'s dev/inode at startup and compares every traversed directory against it. **Impact:** `rm -rf --preserve-root` on a path that resolves through a symlink to `/` bypasses protection and can delete system directories. Recommendation: compare each entered dire

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pinctrl: pinconf-generic: Fully validate 'pinmux' property The pinconf_generic_parse_dt_pinmux() assumes that the 'pinmux' property is not empty when present. This might be not true. With that, the allocator will give a special value in return and not NULL which lead to the crash when trying to access that (invalid) memory. Fix that by fully validating 'pinmux' value, including its length.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: supply: max77705: Free allocated workqueue and fix removal order Use devm interface for allocating workqueue to fix two bugs at the same time: 1. This means that probe error paths will not use a reversed order, but first destroy the workqueue an
