In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: ndisc: fix NULL deref in accept_untracked_na() accept_untracked_na() re-fetches the inet6_dev with __in6_dev_get(dev) and dereferences idev->cnf.accept_untracked_na without a NULL check, even though its only caller ndisc_recv_na() already fetched and NULL-checked idev for the same device. Both reads of dev->ip6_ptr run in the same RCU read-side critical section, but a concurrent addrconf_ifdown() can clear dev->ip6_ptr
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: octeontx2-af: validate body pcifunc in rvu_mbox_handler_rep_event_notify rvu_mbox_handler_rep_event_notify() in drivers/net/ethernet/marvell/ octeontx2/af/rvu_rep.c queues a sender-controlled REP_EVENT_NOTIFY request body verbatim, and rvu_rep_up_notify() then forwards event->pcifunc (the nested body field, distinct from the AF-normalised header pcifunc) into rvu_get_pfvf(), rvu_get_pf() and the AF->PF mailbox device index wit
A flaw was found in GStreamer's WavPack audio decoder in gst-plugins-good. When processing a specially crafted WavPack file, an integer overflow in the buffer size calculation (4 * block_samples * channels) in gst_wavpack_dec_handle_frame() causes a very small heap allocation. The WavPack library then writes decoded audio samples far beyond the allocated buffer, resulting in heap memory corruption. This affects both 32-bit and 64-bit systems since the arithmetic is performed in 32-bit integers b
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_conn: Fix memory leak in hci_le_big_terminate() hci_le_big_terminate() allocates iso_list_data via kzalloc_obj but returns 0 without freeing it when neither pa_sync_term nor big_sync_term flags are set after evaluating the PA and BIG sync connection state. This early-return path was introduced when hci_le_big_terminate() was refactored to take struct hci_conn instead of raw u8 parameters, adding PA/BIG flag eva
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix ld_{abs,ind} failure path analysis in subprogs Usage of ld_{abs,ind} instructions got extended into subprogs some time ago via commit 09b28d76eac4 ("bpf: Add abnormal return checks."). These are only allowed in subprograms when the latter are BTF annotated and have scalar return types. The code generator in bpf_gen_ld_abs() has an abnormal exit path (r0=0 + exit) from legacy cBPF times. While the enforcement is on sc
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix same-register dst/src OOB read and pointer leak in sock_ops When a BPF sock_ops program accesses ctx fields with dst_reg == src_reg, the SOCK_OPS_GET_SK() and SOCK_OPS_GET_FIELD() macros fail to zero the destination register in the !fullsock / !locked_tcp_sock path. Both macros borrow a temporary register to check is_fullsock / is_locked_tcp_sock when dst_reg == src_reg, because dst_reg holds the ctx pointer. When th
A signed integer overflow vulnerability was found in GStreamer's VMnc decoder. A crafted VMnc stream with large cursor dimensions can overflow signed integer payload-size arithmetic, bypassing a length check and leading to out-of-bounds reads. A remote attacker could trick a user into opening a specially crafted VMnc file, potentially causing a crash or information disclosure.
A heap buffer overflow vulnerability was found in GStreamer's librfb (RFB/VNC client). The rectangle bounds check incorrectly validates area rather than individual dimensions, allowing a malicious VNC server to send a rectangle that extends beyond the framebuffer. A remote attacker could set up a malicious VNC server and trick a user into connecting, resulting in an out-of-bounds heap write that could lead to code execution or a crash.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-verity-fec: fix reading parity bytes split across blocks (take 3) fec_decode_bufs() assumes that the parity bytes of the first RS codeword it decodes are never split across parity blocks. This assumption is false. Consider v->fec->block_size == 4096 && v->fec->roots == 17 && fio->nbufs == 1, for example. In that case, each call to fec_decode_bufs() consumes v->fec->roots * (fio->nbufs << DM_VERITY_FEC_BUF_RS_BITS) = 272
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: revert commit_mutex usage in reset path It causes circular lock dependency between commit_mutex, nfnl_subsys_ipset and nlk_cb_mutex when nft reset, ipset list, and iptables-nft with '-m set' rule run at the same time. Previous patches made it safe to run individual reset handlers concurrently so commit_mutex is no longer required to prevent this.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nft_counter: serialize reset with spinlock Add a global static spinlock to serialize counter fetch+reset operations, preventing concurrent dump-and-reset from underrunning values. The lock is taken before fetching the total so that two parallel resets cannot both read the same counter values and then both subtract them. A global lock is used for simplicity since resets are infrequent. If this becomes a bottleneck,
Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in Repute Infosystems ARMember Premium allows Object Injection. This issue affects ARMember Premium: from n/a before 7.6.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: afs: Fix delayed allocation of a cell's anonymous key The allocation of a cell's anonymous key is done in a background thread along with other cell setup such as doing a DNS upcall. In the reported bug, this is triggered by afs_parse_source() parsing the device name given to mount() and calling afs_lookup_cell() with the name of the cell. The normal key lookup then tries to use the key description on the anonymous authentica
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: exfat: validate cluster allocation bits of the allocation bitmap syzbot created an exfat image with cluster bits not set for the allocation bitmap. exfat-fs reads and uses the allocation bitmap without checking this. The problem is that if the start cluster of the allocation bitmap is 6, cluster 6 can be allocated when creating a directory with mkdir. exfat zeros out this cluster in exfat_mkdir, which can delete existing entri
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: hda: cs35l41: Fix NULL pointer dereference in cs35l41_get_acpi_mute_state() Return value of a function acpi_evaluate_dsm() is dereferenced without checking for NULL, but it is usually checked for this function. acpi_evaluate_dsm() may return NULL, when acpi_evaluate_object() returns acpi_status other than ACPI_SUCCESS, so add a check to prevent the crach. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVAC
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i40e: remove read access to debugfs files The 'command' and 'netdev_ops' debugfs files are a legacy debugging interface supported by the i40e driver since its early days by commit 02e9c290814c ("i40e: debugfs interface"). Both of these debugfs files provide a read handler which is mostly useless, and which is implemented with questionable logic. They both use a static 256 byte buffer which is initialized to the empty string.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: mediatek: mt8195: Set ETDM1/2 IN/OUT to COMP_DUMMY() ETDM2_IN_BE and ETDM1_OUT_BE are defined as COMP_EMPTY(), in the case the codec dai_name will be null. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: mediatek: mt8195: Add platform entry for ETDM1_OUT_BE dai link Commit e70b8dd26711 ("ASoC: mediatek: mt8195: Remove afe-dai component and rework codec link") removed the codec entry for the ETDM1_OUT_BE dai link entirely instead of replacing it with COMP_EMPTY(). This worked by accident as the remaining COMP_EMPTY() platform entry became the codec entry, and the platform entry became completely empty, effectively the sam
PaperCut NG/MF contains an observable timing discrepancy in its authentication component. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability to perform username enumeration by measuring response times during login attempts. The system executes a password hash comparison only when a valid account is supplied, creating a measurable timing oracle that reveals account existence.
