HCL Hive is affected by an information exposure vulnerability where Swagger documentation was found exposed publicly.  Although no sensitive information (e.g., credentials, PII) was discovered, exposing API documentation to unauthenticated users can increase the overall attack surface.

Tempo queries with large limits can cause large memory allocations which can impact the availability of the service, depending on its deployment strategy. Mitigation can be done by setting max_result_limit in the search config, e.g. to 262144 (2^18). Alternatively, automatically restart the service.

An undocumented and unsafe feature in the PLY (Python Lex-Yacc) library 3.11 allows Remote Code Execution (RCE) via the `picklefile` parameter in the `yacc()` function.
